In the early hours of last Saturday, Boston Police officers placed under arrest three juveniles connected to various firearm and stolen property offenses in Roslindale. The suspects, identified by the Boston Police Department's official news release, include a 15-year-old from Hyde Park, along with two 14-year-olds, one from Easton and the other from Brockton. The trio was apprehended after being located in a stolen vehicle at a local fast-food restaurant parking lot.
The incident occurred at 327 Walk Hill Street around 1:58 AM, where responding officers found the vehicle with its engine running. Inside, the first suspect was asleep at the wheel, prompting officers to carefully block the vehicle and to call for additional support as they prepared to approach. It was at this point that the officers discovered two more suspects, also found asleep inside the car.
Upon securing the scene, officers were able to gain access to the vehicle and detain all three individuals without confrontation. A thorough search led to the retrieval of a loaded Glock 30 .45 Auto Gen 4 from the jacket of one of the suspects, as well as a stolen wallet containing credit and membership cards from the vehicle's owner in the possession of another.
For one of the young men, a prior warrant for armed robbery and receiving a stolen motor vehicle was identified. The suspects were taken to District E-18 for booking and are now facing multiple charges, including carrying a loaded firearm without a license, unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition, and the receipt of stolen property. To move swiftly and to ensure the safety of those involved, seems to have been a priority during the arrest, highlighting the officers' commitment to cautious yet decisive action in potential high-risk situations.
The juveniles are scheduled for arraignment in West Roxbury District Court, where they will respond to the charges. The Boston Police Department continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the event and have not released further details regarding the case at this time.
