The Boulder City Police Department is set to roll out redesigned patrol vehicles. The department recently shared on social media that several new patrol cars will feature a modern graphic design, while maintaining the traditional black and white color scheme.
According to the department's Facebook post, the new design was selected from several suggestions made by the officers. Residents and visitors are encouraged to look out for these vehicles as they begin to be seen on duty throughout the city. In a display of community engagement and humor, the department suggests that if you spot the new cars around town, feel free to "wave, say hi, or throw a donut or two," quickly adding a lighthearted "#DefinitelyDontThrowThingsAtCars."
The addition of these vehicles is intended to increase visibility, both through their distinct design and by promoting a more approachable law enforcement presence.
