
The grim discovery of Alexis Schuler's remains in a Capitol Heights home has led to a first-degree murder charge for her boyfriend, as confirmed by the Prince George's County Police. Schuler, reported missing approximately a week earlier, was found at the residence of Devontae Gray, police executed a search warrant on Sunday, as part of the ongoing investigation. Fox 5 DC reports that Schuler's body was carefully concealed within Gray's home, and that she was fatally shot.
After authorities located Schuler's body, Gray was detained at the crime scene where he later confessed to her murder. It is believed by the authorities that the killing was a result of an argument between the two. According to DC News Now, following his confession, he was charged with first-degree murder and related charges.
Devontae Gray is currently being held under the custody of the Department of Corrections.
