On Wednesday, a 2000 Chevrolet was selected for further inspection by Customs and Border Protection officials. Using a canine unit and a non-intrusive inspection system, officers found .31 pounds of brown heroin and 9.06 pounds of black tar heroin. The street value of the brown heroin is $5,919, and the black tar heroin is valued at $152,226. Customs and Border Protection seized both the drugs and the vehicle, as reported by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

After a narcotics seizure, Homeland Security Investigations arrested the driver and initiated a criminal investigation. The operation involved coordination between detection and enforcement efforts.
