The Clark County Commission on Aging and the Clark County Youth Commission will meet on January 23 from 6:45 to 9 pm to discuss mental health and intergenerational healing. The meeting will be held in person at the Public Service Center’s sixth-floor Hearing and Training Rooms. There will be no virtual option, but the public is welcome to attend, according to the Clark County.

Youth Commissioners and members of the Commission on Aging will meet to discuss issues affecting both generations. These discussions aim to share ideas and improve understanding. The Commission on Aging, a nine-member volunteer group supported by the Clark County Council, works on the Aging Readiness Plan, which focuses on improving the lives of older residents in the county.

The Clark County Youth Commission, made up of young people aged 11 to 19, advises local government on policies and community issues. The upcoming meeting will focus on creating a more inclusive approach to address the mental health and emotional needs of all ages in the county, helping to build a stronger, more unified community.
