According to a Facebook post from the department, an individual robbed a store at 12945 Lorain Avenue on Sunday morning at about 9:50 AM. The suspect, who is believed to be 20 years old, reportedly committed the crime at gunpoint before fleeing on foot. The establishment left reeling in the aftermath, experienced the dual theft of merchandise and a sense of security.
To engage with residents, the First District Detective Unit shared an image of the suspect on their Facebook page, highlighting his last known movement from the W. 119th Street and Linnet Avenue area. The digital bulletin includes a clear photograph of the suspect, aiming to tap into the community’s collective awareness of his identification. "First District Detective Unit is seeking assistance from our community partners in identifying the pictured suspect," the post stated by Cleveland Police First District, acknowledging the public's vital role in such investigations.
