A Cleveland woman, 25, has perished following a tragic sequence of events on the West Virginia Turnpike, as reported by local authorities. The West Virginia State Police declared that the accident occurred near the 87-mile marker of I-77 on Sunday, involving a two-vehicle crash that sadly resulted in the woman's death.
The victim, identified as Alexis Vega by Cleveland19, was said to have struck the concrete median barrier, causing her vehicle to stop sideways across the southbound lanes. In an attempt to safely get to the side of the road, Vega exited her vehicle. A Samaritan motorist had then stopped to offer assistance. However, despite the truck driver's efforts, an incoming tractor-trailer could not avoid the collision with the stranded car and Vega.
