Following a distress signal from a disabled personal watercraft, a Station St. Petersburg boat crew responded promptly to the scene, locating the stranded family near the Skyway Bridge, as WFLA reports.
The incident occurred on a calm Sunday as the family's outing came to an abrupt halt their watercraft ceased to operate leaving them adrift, this is where the Station St. Petersburg boat crew stepped in to help, the rescue mission was carried out without complication and no injuries have been reported as confirmed by multiple sources including FOX 13 News. The family was found clutching to a navigational aid, seeking refuge from the uncertainty of their predicament.
After the safe extraction from their precarious situation, the Coast Guard transported the family along with their personal watercraft to Demens Landing Park, a spot that on any given day echoes with the laughter of children and the gentle hum of the city, but on that day, it served as a backdrop for quiet gratitude and relief.
