
Tragedy unfolded in Compton as law enforcement responded to reports of a violent incident on Saturday evening. According to KTLA, a woman was discovered with a gunshot wound inside a vehicle located in the 14900 block of Stanford Avenue around 7:15 p.m. First responders rushed the woman to a local hospital however, her condition remains undisclosed.
The situation took an even grimmer turn as ABC7 reported that the car in question was not just a scene of a shooting, but also engulfed in flames. Despite these harrowing circumstances, deputies managed to extract the victim in time for emergency medical treatment. As of now, the assailant remains at large, and a motive for this heinous act is still being sought.
In a development compounding the night's violence, there's confirmation of a second victim in this incident. CBS Los Angeles details that two individuals, not one, were found within the fiery wreckage of a gray sedan that bore signs of combustion. One or both of these victims were taken to an area hospital, with their current conditions not immediately provided by authorities.
