
Early in the morning, Baltimore Peninsula became the scene of a dramatic scene as flames engulfed a four-story residential building still under construction. According to WBALTV, Baltimore City fire officials reported that the fire, which took hold on the corner of East Cromwell Street and West Peninsula Drive, was fully involved.
The construction crew working at the time could self-evacuate, and despite the potential dangers, no injuries were reported. As of 11:15 am, crews had successfully controlled the fire, per WMAR2 News. The coordination and prompt action of the responding teams averted what could have been a tragedy.
Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing, with no clear indication yet as to what sparked the incident.
