Denver International Airport (DIA) is set to welcome Contour Airlines as its 27th carrier, with the airline announcing new routes that will connect Denver to Moab, Utah, and Vernal, Utah starting in April, as reported by 9NEWS. Contour's expansion into Denver marks its first venture at DIA, and the service is part of a commercial partnership with United Airlines, as detailed by Denver Business Journal.
Travelers looking for new connections to the picturesque landscapes of Moab or the community of Vernal can anticipate daily flights; Denver to Moab service will run seven days a week, departing Denver at 5:40 p.m. and arriving in Moab by 7:15 p.m., the return flight from Moab will set off at 2:50 p.m. and get back to Denver at 4:20 p.m., while flights from Denver to Vernal has planned five-days-a-week service that's set to depart at 4 p.m. and arrive at 5:25 p.m., the return journey will start in Vernal at 1:40 p.m. and touch down in Denver at 3:05 p.m. according to KDVR.
The new routes will not only be a boon for local travel but also signify an increase in connectivity for residents and tourists alike; the flights will operate out of Concourse C at DIA. The service looks to cater to both leisure and business travelers, adding another layer to the airport's expanding network which continues to recover and grow from the past travel disruptions caused by global events.
Fulfilling the needs of passengers, Contour will operate these flights with a 30-seat Embraer Regional Jet, ensuring a somewhat intimate and potentially more comfortable flying experience compared to larger, more crowded aircraft, as obtained by KDVR. Passengers interested in these new services will have the chance to start booking their travels soon, embarking on the new routes that reconnect Denver with key Utah destinations, enhancing the tapestry of regional travel and reinforcing the ties that bind these neighboring states together through the freedom of flight.
