In a recent crackdown on petty crime, constables arrested a man suspected of mail theft in the Cypress Creek area. According to a Facebook post by Constable Mark Herman's Office, deputies were dispatched to the 15100 block of Stoneridge Park Ct following a report of stolen mail yesterday.
The perpetrator, Roberto Yero-Perez, allegedly seized a package shortly after it was dropped off by FedEx. Using the flock system, a digital tool designed to aid in crime solving, deputies managed to quickly locate the suspect's vehicle. Yero-Perez was then detained and subsequently identified.
"Roberto Yero-Perez was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, for Mail Theft. His bond was set at $100.00 out of County Court 9," as per a statement from Constable Mark Herman on the department's Facebook page.
