According to the Dallas Police Department, officers responded to a call on Sunday around 1:23 p.m. in the 3600 block of Moonstone Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered that James Rust had been shot. The victim was subsequently transported to a hospital by a private vehicle, where he succumbed to his injuries.
