Denver Teen Keanna Rosenburgh Sentenced to 7 Years in Youthful Offender System for 2023 Bar ShootingSource: Denver Police Department

Keanna Rosenburgh, the teenager responsible for the shooting of five people outside a Denver bar in 2023, has been sentenced to a seven-year term in the Youthful Offender System. The sentencing followed after Rosenburgh's guilty plea to one count of attempted murder for the incident that occurred on September 16, 2023, outside Dierks Bentley's Whiskey Row. According to FOX31, Rosenburgh expressed remorse in the courtroom, stating, “I made a mistake that I regret every day.”

The plea deal outlined a sentence range between five to seven years for Rosenburgh, with an additional 21-year prison sentence suspended. The 9NEWS report clarified that this longer sentence will be waived provided she correctly completes her term in the Youthful Offender System without any violations. However, should her sentence in the youthful offender program be revoked for any reason, she will face the full 21 years in prison.

Rosenburgh was apprehended in California approximately a month after the Denver shooting. Surveillance footage captured the event, showing her discharging a firearm into a crowd at the 19th and Market Street location. In the courtroom, the judge questioned Rosenburgh about the nature of her mistake, to which she replied, "firing into a crowd," as reported by FOX31.

In addition to the Youthful Offender System sentence, Rosernburgh received a suspended 21-year sentence in the Colorado Department of Corrections, which she will not have to serve if she completes the initial sentence and complies with all terms. Attempts to reach Rosenburgh's attorney for a comment on the sentencing were unsuccessful Wednesday night, as detailed by The Denver Post.
