
Residents of Detroit should prepare for snow showers and cloudy skies. Early snow showers are expected to end before the afternoon, with less than half an inch of accumulation. Mostly cloudy skies will remain, with highs around 30 degrees. Blustery west northwest winds will blow at10 to 15 mph, with gusts reaching 24 mph.
According to the National Weather Service, tonight, winds from the west northwest will continue at around 14 mph, with gusts up to 24 mph, bringing temperatures down to a low of around 19 degrees. The chance of flurries on Saturday is low, but partly sunny skies will not be enough to warm up, with a high near 26 degrees.
By Sunday, the skies will clear up, bringing mostly sunny conditions and a high near 28 degrees. However, clouds will return at night, with a 40% chance of snow after 1 a.m. The low will be around 22 degrees.
Next week, snow chances will continue into Monday morning, with cloudy conditions throughout the week. Highs will hover around the freezing point, and lows will drop into the teens, reaching 13 degrees by Wednesday night. Thursday is expected to be partly sunny.
