The local fire department received calls about the blaze around 5:30 a.m., prompting a swift response to battle the significant fire. The intense efforts of the firefighters were apparent as the house suffered considerable damage, and lingering smoke remained visible from the site.
According to the same WPXI coverage, two sisters were inside the residence when the fire began. They quickly relayed their plight to Channel 11′s Lauren Talotta, detailing their harrowing experience trapped inside the burning structure.
WTAE confirmed the incident, which happened just after 5 a.m., noting that no injuries occurred. The report mentioned possible traffic disruptions on McKean Avenue, as road restrictions may have been needed for safety. Commuters were advised to expect delays or find alternate routes.
