Last night's routine traffic on Fulton Road was abruptly shattered when a head-on collision at 10:30pm called California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers to a scene of devastation where emergency personnel hurried to transport both drivers with major injuries.
CHP Santa Rosa reported that a northbound Infiniti G35, veering over double yellow lines, collided head-on with a Honda Civic just south of River Road.
The driver of the Infiniti, whose identity has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin and further investigation, was arrested for Felony Driving Under the Influence. CHP Santa Rosa ends with a plea, stark in its simplicity and profound in its urgency: "Please don't drink and drive! It's never worth it!"
