This morning, a shooting incident left one person seriously injured at an IHOP in Colerain Township as authorities continue their investigation into the events that transpired, per information distributed by local news sources.
The confrontation that led to the shooting erupted in the restaurant's parking lot, as stated by Sgt. Zach Meyer, in a statement detailed by FOX 19, which was addressed around 3 a.m., further noted that the victim sought refuge within the premises of the IHOP before being transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
Although the suspect responsible for the incident has yet to be identified, law enforcement officials believe they fled the scene by vehicle. No description of the suspect or the getaway vehicle is currently available, according to reports from WLWT.
The Colerain Police Department has taken charge of the investigation.
