The incident, which occurred on January 4 at around 10 p.m., unfolded when a knife-wielding suspect entered the establishment located at 10040 Dyer. According to KFOX-TV, the man approached an employee, displayed a pocketknife, and demanded money. However, the employee, fearing for their safety, managed to elude the situation by retreating towards other staff members.

The suspect's actions have put the local community on high alert, and Crime Stoppers of El Paso, with the help of the El Paso Police Department, has labeled this incident as the featured “Crime of the Week.” Despite the failed attempt, no injuries were reported and the suspect fled empty-handed. Notwithstanding, the authorities are seeking assistance from the public to apprehend the individual responsible, as reported by KTSM.

Witnesses provided a description of the man as being approximately 5' 9" tall, with light facial hair, and estimated to be between 20-to-30 years old, of Hispanic descent. Notable in his appearance, the suspect reportedly spoke Spanish during the attempted robbery and was wearing a tan baseball cap, a black hooded jacket with a zipper, a red t-shirt, black pants, and black athletic shoes with white soles, as detailed by KVIA.
