An 86-year-old man lost his life earlier this morning in Westmoreland County when his vehicle was involved in a collision with a dump truck. According to the coroner, Tim Carson, the accident occurred at the intersection of Broadway Street and Liberty Avenue in North Huntingdon shortly after 8 a.m. WPXI reported that the man was pronounced dead at the scene, and his wife was transported to Forbes Regional Hospital with injuries, the severity of which has not been disclosed.
