Having to respond quickly, Officer Brightwell managed to locate both the suspect and the stolen vehicle on the Linear Trail near Beck Avenue. When confronted, the truck driver abandoned the vehicle and continued to escape on foot boldly. He was seen arming himself with a knife in a threatening manner towards Officer Brightwell during the chase.

Reinforcements soon arrived on the scene, with Officer Orsi and K9 partner Ruckus joining the fray. The suspect, later identified as 32-year-old Jose Reyes-Quinones, was apprehended by K9 Ruckus, which allowed officers to take him into custody without further incident.

Reyes-Quinones was booked into the Solano County Jail, facing charges that include receipt of stolen property and resisting arrest.
