Yesterday, Fairfield Police were called to a reported break-in at a warehouse on the 2800 block of Cordelia Road. The alarm at the premises had been triggered, prompting immediate police attention.
Upon arrival, it was the employees who offered up surveillance footage to the officers, allowing one officer, familiar with the community, to spot a known face: 42-year-old Sean Johnson of Fairfield was identified as the suspect in the recordings, clad in distinct attire that would soon lead to his capture. Johnson, who hails from the same town where the warehouse stands, could not evade the law that night, as the police Dispatch was promptly furnished with a description of his clothing.
The officers combed through the warehouse to ensure it was clear while Officer Parodi, peeling away from the search, scouted the surrounding vicinity. It was along Highway 12, not far from the warehouse, that Parodi located the suspect and, with little incident, took him into custody.
Sean Johnson was officially booked for burglary at Solano County Jail, as per the Fairfield Police Department.
