A crash in Dodge County on Sunday resulted in one death and six injuries, including children, after a pickup truck ran a stop sign. The collision occurred at the intersection of County Road A and County Road B near Beaver Dam, with both vehicles stopping in a field at the northeast corner of the intersection, as reported by WISN.
The Dodge County Sheriff's Office confirmed that a 2024 Ford F150 pickup was traveling east on County Road B when it failed to stop at County Road A, colliding with a northbound 2006 Cadillac Escalade. The crash sent both vehicles off-road into a nearby field. A 30-year-old man from Tennessee, who was ejected from the pickup, was pronounced dead at the scene. The 32-year-old pickup driver, also from Tennessee, was arrested for Operating While Impaired and sustained critical injuries. He was airlifted to Aurora Summit Hospital, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.
WTMJ reported that three children, passengers in the Escalade, were treated for non-severe injuries at Marshfield Medical Center, with one later requiring additional care at UW-Madison Hospital.
