A tragic incident unfolded on Fisher Road yesterday when an adult was struck and killed in a traffic accident involving multiple vehicles. According to the Columbus Division of Police, yesterday at approximately 6:21 p.m., a white tractor-trailer had stopped in the left turn lane outside the Eddie Bauer warehouse.
The tractor driver exited the vehicle and stepped into the westbound lane's traffic flow for unclear reasons. At this moment, a westbound white Honda CRV collided with the adult. The initial impact left the individual lying in the right lane, where they were subsequently hit by a maroon Lexus RX350. Responders pronounced the adult deceased at the scene just minutes later, at 6:28 p.m.
The Columbus Police's Accident Investigation Unit was promptly at the site to unpack the event sequence and determine the factors contributing to this fatal accident. The investigation, reports say, remains ongoing as of this writing. The names and further details about the victims and drivers involved have not been released, pending notification of kin and further inquiry.
