A house fire in Houston’s Central Southwest area on Monday, caused significant damage. The Houston Fire Department responded to the fire around 6:11 p.m. on the 4100 block of Brookfield Dr. 77045, where they encountered heavy smoke and flames coming from a one-story house. Despite their quick response, the fire resulted in an injury, according to the Houston Fire Department official report.
During the operation, one firefighter sustained a non-life-threatening injury after falling from an engine. He was taken to the hospital for treatment. The firefighters were able to save $110,000 worth of property, but the fire caused an estimated $90,000 in damages to the home.
Fire crews ventilated the house and conducted a primary search before extinguishing the fire. Arson investigators were called to determine the cause, which was later identified as an electrical accident. A total of 46 personnel, including firefighters and rescue teams, responded to the scene.
