
A fire erupted in a Hyde Park apartment building on the afternoon of January 5th, necessitating a rapid response from the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD). The blaze, which was confined to one unit on the third floor of the three-story structure, was reported at 1:54 PM at 3335 W Hyde Park Bl, as per LAFD Alert. Firefighters were able to combat the flames offensively, and during the operations, one individual was assessed for potential injuries.
Within 14 minutes, a team of 30 firefighters managed to suppress the fire that had initially threatened the residential integrity of the building. "KNOCKDOWN: The first 30 arriving firefighters located a small fire in one unit on the top floor and extinguished it in 14 minutes," as stated by the LAFD. There was a request for the arson unit to join the scene for investigating the incident – a standard protocol for such scenarios. Although details regarding the patient's condition have not been disclosed, they were being assessed by medical responders at the scene.
The LAFD has not yet commented on the potential cause of the fire or the extent of the damage done to the property. The incident, logged as INC#0918, saw various units including E294, RA66, and T94 engaging to resolve the crisis efficiently and prevent any further spread of the fire.
