
A former correctional officer has been arrested on charges of sexual misconduct involving a juvenile inmate, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office. Cecilia Pulido, a 42-year-old resident of Moreno Valley, is accused of engaging in an inappropriate relationship with a male juvenile in custody. The Riverside County Probation Department reported the allegations to authorities on Thursday, prompting an investigation by the Special Victims Unit of the Riverside Sheriff’s Office.
The arrest occurred on January 24, following an investigation that swiftly acted to uncover the extent of the allegations. As per a statement released by the Riverside County Sheriff's Office, Pulido is facing multiple charges, including annoying and molesting a child and sexual contact with a prisoner or inmate. Reports indicate that Pulido was employed as a Probation Corrections Officer by the Riverside County Probation Department in December of 2023. Still, she resigned before the investigation began to shed light on her conduct.
Since her arrest, Pulido has been booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center. The Riverside County Sheriff's Office has emphasized that the investigation into this case remains active and ongoing. They are urging anyone with information to come forward and have provided contact details for Master Investigator Juan Andrade of the Special Victims Unit as the point of contact for such information.
