In the pre-dawn stillness of April 28, 2024, an act of violence disrupted the peace of Frontier Park located at 2163 Elizondo Ave., Simi Valley. A juvenile, having suffered multiple stab wounds in a gang-related attack, lay injured until police arrived to urgently facilitate medical attention at Los Robles Regional Medical Center. The Simi Valley Police Department deemed the incident a result of local criminal gang activities, initiating a rigorous investigation led by the Department’s Major Crimes Bureau and Crime Scene Investigation Unit in collaboration with the Special Enforcement Team (SET).
The investigation spanned several months, during which detectives were relentlessly to identify and apprehend the perpetrators. By executing numerous search warrants and conducting intensive interviews, investigators succeeded in processing crucial evidence. Ultimately, four juvenile suspects—all local to Simi Valley—were arrested on January 9 and 10, as detailed by the Simi Valley Police Department. They've been charged with serious offenses, including felony Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Conspiracy, and Participation in a Criminal Street Gang. These suspects are currently detained at the Ventura County Juvenile Justice Center.
