
Two shootings and violent physical assaults rattled Canarsie, Brooklyn, on the night of New Year’s Eve, leading into 2025. The incidents left four men wounded, as suspects reportedly executed the attack and then fled the scene. According to ABC7 New York, the violent episode unfolded at 7:15 p.m. at 105-19 Flatlands 4th Street.
In the course of the attack, a 23-year-old man was shot in the head and foot, and a 44-year-old man received a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Meanwhile, two other men, ages 20 and 25, were pistol-whipped in the face by the perpetrators. The assailants, described as two males wearing ski masks, made their escape in a vehicle, leaving behind a chaotic scene and no immediate leads on their identity.
All victims were swiftly taken to Brookdale Hospital, where they are reported to be in stable condition, per statements from the local police. AM New York adds that a 22-year-old man and a 62-year-old man were among those shot and that a discarded jacket, possibly related to the crime, was found near the premises.
Detectives are currently sifting through evidence, as the NYPD investigators maintain a vigilant search for any further clues to apprehend the suspects.
