Last Friday, after evading law enforcement for more than three years, Darasy Chhim, aged 39 and known by aliases “Mystickal” and “Rizzus,” was arrested in Lowell. Chhim is accused of a significant role in a widespread drug trafficking conspiracy, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office. The charges include conspiracy to distribute heroin, cocaine base, fentanyl, MDMA, and sizable quantities of cocaine and methamphetamine.

In June 2021, Chhim was arrested after a manhunt across several states. Court documents indicate he was a key member of the One Family Clique, a gang operating in Massachusetts, Virginia, and California. The gang was involved in drug trafficking, firearm trafficking, money laundering, and violent conflicts with rival gangs, as reported by the U.S. Attorney's Office.

Chhim was arrested through a joint effort by the FBI, Lowell Police, IRS Criminal Investigation, and other agencies as part of the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces initiative. He faces up to 20 years in prison, a fine of up to $1 million, and asset forfeiture if convicted. The case is part of a national effort to dismantle organized crime. Chhim is innocent until proven guilty, as stated by the U.S. Attorney's Office.
