Drivers in Golden need to brace for a bit of detour-induced hassle starting today. Heritage Road is off-limits at Colfax on account of construction. City officials are nudging commuters to take an alternate route via Zeta Street and 4th Avenue to circumnavigate the closure, according to the City of Golden.
The closure, which aims to swiftly build a better passage for Lena Gulch beneath Heritage Road, is expected to last through March. In an attempt to minimize the disruption to daily life, the city has planned to quickly complete the construction work. "The City of Golden is committed to providing reliable infrastructure to all residents," as per City of Golden.
For those curious or perhaps vexed by the inconvenience, Joseph Lammers, a Civil Engineer on the project, is the go-to for information. He can be reached at (303) 384-8156 or via email at [email protected]. Further details about the construction and traffic updates can be found on the city's website.
