
A 32-year-old woman was hospitalized following a stabbing incident that occurred late Saturday night in Goldsboro, police officials reported. The Goldsboro Police Department received a call at approximately 11:24 p.m. regarding an assault with a knife at a residence located on the 400 block of N. James Street, CBS17, reported.
Upon their arrival, law enforcement officers encountered several individuals and discovered the victim, identified as Shameka McAllister by WRAL, who sustained a non-fatal stab wound to her shoulder. The injured McAllister was promptly transported to UNC Health Wayne for medical attention, the injuries were not considered life-threatening, per police statements.
A 26-year-old woman has been taken into custody in relation to the attack, and while she has been detained for questioning, formal charges have yet to be filed against her.
