With a background deeply rooted in the veterinary field, Sturgess's experience is extensive and covers various aspects of animal health. Having served on the Texas Veterinary Medical Association Board of Directors and being an active member of several related associations, including the Texas Equine Veterinary Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association, his credentials speak to a career committed to animal welfare. A member of the Texas Tech University School of Veterinary Medicine Admissions Committee and the Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory Director’s Advisory Council, Sturgess received both his Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees from Oklahoma State University.
