Grove City residents have a new winter tradition to look forward to as the city's Parks and Recreation department kicks off its first-ever Winter Farmer's Market this February. According to the Grove City Ohio official announcement, the market aims to bring the community together with a fresh selection of local delights, including winter produce, artisanal coffees, homemade salsas, and jams, and offering a variety of baked goods for those with a sweet tooth.
Starting February 15, the event will be held bi-weekly on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon at the Kingston Center, and it promises more than just a market, with each date featuring free kids’ crafts and activities that celebrate the season. The city has planned themed events like "Random Acts of Kindness" and a nod to Women's History Month, St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, a spring welcome, and an homage to beloved pets, with activities tailored to these themes.
The schedule published by Grove City Ohio outlines the following dates and their respective themes: "Feb. 15 – Random Acts of Kindness (Crafts & activities to spread joy)," "March 1 – Women’s History (Celebrating inspiring women through creative activities)," "March 15 – St. Patrick’s Day (Fun, festive crafts for little hands)," "March 29 – Hopping into Spring (Springtime crafts to welcome the season)," and "April 12 – Pets!
