The family allegedly involved in this retail heist were identified as Valeria Gonzales, Shermiah Roberts, Charles James, and an unnamed juvenile. Their escape cut short, the suspect vehicle having been spotted fleeing the scene, was stopped by constable deputies who found the stolen merchandise inside. Following the discovery, the makeup was subsequently returned to the store.
Among the adults arrested, Valeria Gonzales had multiple open warrants, including one for felony evading in a motor vehicle and two counts of theft. "Valerie Gonzales, Shermia Roberts and Charles James were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the warrants and charged with Retail Theft-Organized Crime," stated Constable Mark Herman, as reported by a Facebook post from his office. Details regarding their court and bond information were not immediately available.
Meanwhile, having provided a false name and date of birth during the stop, Shermiah Roberts was found to have an active warrant for theft out of Montgomery County. Caught in the act, the juvenile was also arrested and transported to the Juvenile Probation Center, names being withheld due to the individual's age.
