According to the Long Beach Police Department's blotter, at approximately 11:35 p.m., officers arrived at the scene to find a man who had sustained a gunshot wound to his lower body. This incident, which left the male adult victim injured, saw him acting heroically as he attempted to intervene during an armed robbery.
The Long Beach Fire Department rapidly provided aid and transported the victim to a local hospital where it was reported that he remains in stable condition. Detectives specializing in gang activity were promptly sent to investigate further into the night's events. As of now, the suspect tied to the violent act has not been apprehended, having fled before law enforcement arrived at the chaotic scene.
