Law enforcement was seen in full force as they brought the pursuit of a Dodge Ram pickup to an end, with Moore Police Department officers initially attempting to intervene on westbound I-240 from I-35, according to KFOR.
Upon closer investigation, it was confirmed that the chase originated from a vicinity close to 27th Street and Eastern Avenue, where the Moore police officers had attempted to make a stop on a driver with a felony warrant. Details from KOCO 5 reveal that, after failing to yield, the suspect's vehicle fled, leading officers on a spirited pursuit. The chase saw its conclusion after officers executed a tactical vehicle intervention (TVI) maneuver which brought the suspect vehicle to a halt near May Avenue.
Following the execution of the TVI, the vehicle sustained noticeable damage, a scene captured from above by Sky 5. Traffic flow in both directions on I-240 felt the impact of the incident as delays ensued. The suspect, reportedly a woman, required medical attention post-crash and was transported on a stretcher to a local hospital by EMSA paramedics.
