
A fire broke out early on Thursday at an apartment complex in Spring Branch East, damaging the laundry room. The fire was reported at 4:37 a.m. at 1122 Coldstream Rd., and Houston firefighters quickly responded to find flames engulfing the first-floor facility, according to the Houston Fire Department.
The Houston Fire Department quickly controlled a fire early in the morning, ensuring no one was trapped. Crews removed sheetrock to extinguish the hotspots. No injuries were reported, but the fire caused $100,000 in damage. Arson investigators are on-site to determine the cause, and the investigation is ongoing.
The Houston Fire Department responded with 53 personnel from Stations 2, 50, 5, 6, 11, 38, 30, and Rescue 1 to manage the incident and prevent further damage. Residents are encouraged to report any hazards to prevent future incidents.
