A house fire in Houston's Spring Branch North neighborhood was contained last Saturday, thanks to the rapid response of local fire crews. The Houston Fire Department reported that the blaze caused an estimated $75,000 in damage, but firefighters' efforts saved approximately $250,000 worth of property.
According to a statement from the Houston Fire Department, the incident occurred on January 11, 2025, a little after 8 p.m. in the 10300 block of Emnora Ln. Upon arriving, firefighters observed smoke issuing from a single-story residence and quickly launched an offensive attack. No injuries were reported, in the event, and all occupants had been accounted for outside the home.
Firefighters worked to ventilate the structure while battling the flames, predominantly located in the attic. Their search revealed that the cause of the fire was likely electrical. Charred wires discovered above a ceiling fan were speculated to have sparked the incident, and a tripped circuit breaker was found in the electrical panel. It was a collective effort, with 39 personnel responding to the scene, including members from Stations 77, 2, 4, 5, 49, 88, 38, 30, and Heavy Rescue 11.
