
Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Tuesday around 10:30 a.m. at 4500 Neal Street. A silver Lexus LS-430, speeding and running a stop sign, collided with a blue Chevrolet Silverado, resulting in one man's death, according to the City of Houston.
The crash caused the Chevrolet to spin and stop on a property at 8353 Glenview Drive. 48-year-old Joel Fraustro was in the passenger seat of a Lexus that hit a house and ended up on its side. He suffered severe injuries and was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, as reported by the City of Houston.
A 37-year-old suspect, who allegedly abandoned a Lexus after a crash on 8245 Glenview, was apprehended and detained at Harris County Jail, though his charges were unrelated to the incident. The crash, which left the Silverado driver with minor injuries, is under investigation by the HPD Vehicular Crimes Division, led by Sergeant K. Harris and Officer T. Riley, as stated by the City of Houston.
