The Houston Police Department is actively conducting a search for a man who is said to have shot and killed another patron inside Club Waikiki, a bar located in northeast Houston on Friday night. The incident occurred shortly before 11 p.m. According to Click2Houston, a substantial man reportedly entered the bar, approached the victim directly, and fired a single shot into the victim's chest before hastily making his exit from the scene.
Lieutenant Wilkens of the Houston Police Department confirmed to OnScene TV that the gunman appeared to target the victim intentionally. "We’re pretty certain he knew exactly who he was coming in to shoot," Wilkens said. "He came into the bar, went to this individual, shot him one time and took off and left." Police are working to identify the shooter, interviewing witnesses and reviewing surveillance footage from inside Club Waikiki. The suspect's identity has not been determined, as reported by Click2Houston.
A recent shooting in Houston left one person dead despite CPR efforts by emergency responders.
