Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run that occurred last Sunday on Fondren Road. A 27-year-old woman was killed around 3:15 a.m. in the 7400 block of Fondren Road, according to the City of Houston.
According to HPD Vehicular Crimes Division, a woman driving a black Chevrolet Impala was attempting a U-turn or left turn when an eastbound red Chevrolet Silverado struck her vehicle. The impact pushed the Impala into a median, while the Silverado crashed onto a curb and stopped in a paved area. The Silverado's driver fled the scene on foot without providing assistance, as reported by the City of Houston.
A woman was fatally struck in Houston and later pronounced dead at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center. Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. Authorities are seeking the public's help in identifying the driver involved in the hit-and-run.
