The Houston Police Department is calling for the public's help in tracking down suspects tied to an aggravated robbery. On a cold December morning, a disturbing scene unfolded on the 4400 block of Emancipation in Houston, Texas, when a man was nearly carjacked at gunpoint, according to a recent notice by the Houston Police Robbery Division.
The incident, which took place on December 16, 2024, involved a group who approached the man under the pretense of wanting to borrow his Dodge Charger for a music video. When the victim declined, the situation escalated — multiple suspects drew handguns and demanded the man's possessions, including the car keys. One assailant pressed a gun to the victim's head, pulling the trigger several times without consequence; the weapon failed to fire. The suspects then took off in the victim's white Dodge Charger, initiating a robbery investigation by Houston PD (Case #1741040-24).
The stolen vehicle was found in Louisiana two days later, where Baton Rouge police engaged in a pursuit after a traffic violation attempt. Subsequent to the chase, two males were arrested, entangling them in the ongoing robbery investigation. Further developments came via social media, where detectives identified a post showing additional suspects flaunting the victim's stolen watch and a "chucky" doll, taken from the same vehicle during the crime spree.
The search is now on for the two males captured in the post, as the Houston Police Robbery Division works to piece together the remaining parts of this jigsaw.
