The U.S. Marshals Service has reportedly captured an Iowa fugitive in West Tennessee, according to a recent press release. William Logan, Jr., a 56-year-old man from Iowa, was wanted for probation violation, violation of the sex offender registration, and escape. After following up on a tip, Logan was found and arrested.
Information developed by the USMS Southern District of Iowa indicated that Logan might be hiding out in West Tennessee. This hint led to a coordinated effort with the USMS Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force in Jackson. The teams joined forces, tracking Logan to a camper on McKenzie Road in Madison County on Monday.
According to the announcement by the U.S. Marshals Service, Logan was taken into custody without incident. Following his arrest, he was transported to the Madison County Criminal Justice Complex, where he is currently awaiting extradition back to Iowa to face charges.
Deputies and task force officers were able to safely apprehend the individual thanks to rigorous investigation and collaborative efforts.
