The Irving Police Department is currently seeking assistance from the public to identify a suspect involved in a theft at a local Walmart. In an incident on December 12, 2024, a man attempted to steal a cart loaded with items, and in the process, injured security officers who confronted him. The department turned to the community for help via a "Who Done It Wednesday" social media post, seeking to track down the individual as well as his accomplice, the getaway driver.
According to the video released by the Irving Police Department, the suspect seemed to think that Walmart's rollback prices warranted a rollaway bounty. The "grinches", as the department referred to them, remain at large. The Irving Police Department has requested anyone with information to come forward, and contact details for Investigator J. Mitchell were provided, in hopes that community members may be able to aid in the investigation.
Those in possession of information that could help identify the suspects are urged to call Investigator J. Mitchell at 972-721-7899 or email [email protected]. In addition, the department also offers an avenue for anonymous tips through the email [email protected]. The police emphasize the importance of community assistance in these cases as they often rely on the watchful eyes of residents to solve crimes.
