Ivanhoe Village's Beloved Hammered Lamb Pub to Close After 12 Years Amid Financial StrugglesSource: Google Street View

The Hammered Lamb, a well-liked pub and brunch spot in Ivanhoe Village, has announced it will permanently shut its doors on Saturday. Jason Lambert, the owner, shared the news in a statement detailed by OrlandoWeekly. The closure caps off a year filled with challenges, including dwindling business and a detrimental, albeit incorrect, health inspection report inaccurately published by the Orlando Sentinel early last year.

To turn the tables on their financial struggles, The Hammered Lamb appealed to the community for support and introduced an online fundraiser in September as Lambert remarked, "We are struggling to survive. So now, we’re looking to you. Our community. Our home." This effort followed the decision to close on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, the establishment's slowest days, according to a GottaGoOrlando interview. Yet, even with these attempts to keep afloat, the venue has been compelled to concede defeat.

The final send-off will not just mark the end. Still, it will also celebrate the Hammered Lamb's 12-year run with a day that includes "one last Hammered Brunch from 10 am - 4 pm, followed by Sunset Happy Hour and the Anniversary and Goodbye Party," as Lambert expressed a desire to close this chapter with one last gathering, GottaGoOrlando reported.

The establishment encourages patrons to support the staff by visiting for lunch, happy hour, or late-night service during the venue's final week of operation.
