
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office recently announced the arrest in connection with a homicide from December 2024. The suspect, 51-year-old Reginald Graves, has been taken into custody following the death of Todd Taylor, who was also 51. Taylor was found lying unresponsive on a sidewalk along Kings Road near Myrtle Avenue by patrol officers. He sadly succumbed to his injuries after a three-week battle in the hospital.
Forensic investigations led by the Homicide detectives, and members of the Crime Scene Unit pointed towards Reginald Graves as the alleged perpetrator. The news release from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office stated, "Homicide detectives and members of the Crime Scene Unit conducted their investigations and named Graves as the suspect." The investigators acted on this information, leading to Graves' arrest on charges of Murder and Aggravated Assault.
As reported by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office via a social media post, Graves is now behind bars at the Duval County jail, awaiting further legal proceedings. As the case moves to trial, details of the events leading to Taylor's death are expected to become clearer.
