
According to local fire officials, an early morning fire in Allegheny County has damaged a Jefferson Hills home. Multiple volunteer fire departments battled the blaze. The Broughton Volunteer Fire Department shared on Facebook that they joined forces with the Pleasant Hills Volunteer Fire Company following reports of flames inside a residence on Hunters Field Circle.
According to TribLive, in a Pleasant Hills Volunteer Fire Company post, firefighters were called to the scene shortly before 3:30 a.m. They were confronted with a fire at the backside of the house, engaging intensely to contain and extinguish the conflagration. Although no injuries were reported, the fire's cause is unclear, leaving residents and officials waiting for answers.
Visual evidence of the damage was evident in photographs released by the fire departments, showcasing extensive destruction to the lower-level ceiling and walls of the home. A door and siding appeared visibly marred by the incident.
While the fire's origins remain under investigation by the Allegheny County Fire Marshal, officials were surveying the damage and collecting evidence, as WTAE reported.
