Bronson BirthPlace in Kalamazoo welcomed its first baby of 2025 at 12:31 a.m. on Wednesday. Jumir Nausjay Quin Hudson weighed 7 pounds, 1 ounce, and measured 19.29 inches long, according to a press release from Bronson Health.
Jumir's birth was a special moment for his parents, Roniqua Williams and Nausjay Hudson, and their family. According to Fox17, Jumir's four siblings were also born at Bronson BirthPlace. Certified nurse midwife Lanie Santos said, "Bringing a baby into the world is always a special experience but delivering one on New Year’s Day feels particularly meaningful."
By the end of New Year's Day, three babies had been born at Bronson BirthPlace in Kalamazoo. "It’s an incredible way to start the year, and we’re honored to share this moment with the family as they welcome their newest addition," Santos said, as reported by mLive.
Bronson BirthPlace is known for providing exceptional care, with private, spacious rooms and secure access for privacy and safety. The facility is connected to the region’s only Children’s Hospital and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. In 2024, over 4,500 babies were born at Bronson BirthPlace’s two locations in Battle Creek and Kalamazoo.
