Non-profit organizations on Kaua‘i that aim to support the homeless population have until January 31 to submit applications for the County of Kaua‘i's Homeless Program Grants. According to the County's Housing Agency, these grants, which can provide up to $500,000, are intended to support initiatives that address homelessness.

A recent reminder from the County of Kaua‘i states that grant proposals must be submitted as PDF files via email to [email protected], as mail or fax submissions will not be accepted. The deadline for submissions is 4:30 p.m. on January 31, and late applications will not be considered for funding.

The grant program is based on the Five Year Homeless Strategic Plan, developed earlier this year through community engagement sessions. When evaluating proposals, the Kaua‘i County Housing Agency will prioritize those that demonstrate substantial impact, fiscal health, and long-term sustainability.

Agencies will be notified of the status of their proposals during the week of February 15. If approved, project funding will begin on March 1 and continue through February 28, 2026.
